David Atnikov - CEO and President
David Atnikov, CA, BComm, has led Novax Industries Corporation as CEO since 1993, having joined the organization as Controller in 1984 from KPMG, Peat Marwick. He was the driving force behind Novax’s leadership position in developing and introducing bus rapid transit – TSP systems – in Canada, as well as state-of-the-art accessible pedestrian systems and Canada’s first traffic adaptive SCOOT systems (in Halifax and Red Deer).
A director of ITS Canada for five years, he was chair of the ITS Canada Export Development Committee. Dave’s vision is to ensure that Novax continues to be a vibrant and inventive organization that is committed to the developing and commercially deploying innovative technological responses to the challenges facing the transportation industry.

Doug Gubbe - VP Customer Care and Applications Engineering
Douglas Gubbe has been with Novax since it’s inception in 1981. Over the years, his creativity and insights into the latest developments in electronics and traffic management have honed Novax’s innovative edge. He directs new product development and leads the customer technical support efforts. He is adept at understanding customer needs and creating customer specific solutions. Doug is possibly the leading authority on accessible pedestrian systems in North America.

Tom Wong – Director, Engineering
Tom Wong brings to Novax over 14 years of engineering management and hands-on engineering experience. Prior to joining Novax, Tom held the position of VP, Engineering at Uniserve Communications - a public company with 300,000 broadband customers across Canada and USA. Previously Tom was VP, Engineering at Photo Violation Technologies (PVT), developing next-generation parking meters with wireless ground sensors, built-in cameras and mesh-WiFi wireless connectivity to payment gateways. Under Tom's guidance, PVT went from prototype stage to post-revenue phase with multiple operating locations across North America.
Tom graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Tom is a private pilot and holds separate licenses in Canada and USA.

Farrell Segall - Chief Architect of Systems/Product Development
Farrell Segall is a world-class inventor who has been involved in designing several award-winning developments in the last five years. He is well qualified in Electronic Engineering and has some 30 years management experience in the electronics industry. During his career he has provided system and product design services to corporations and individuals in BC’s technology industries.

Larry Daluz - Director, Wireless Services
Larry has 17 years of expertise in the cable and telecommunications industry, which includes Internet services, wireless, and digital television.
During his long tenure at Rogers Communications he served in a number of engineering and operations roles from Project Engineer to the Director, Network Operations. At 360 Networks he was the General Manager for Canadian operations. He was also a principal of Telephysics Consulting, which provides business and technology consulting to cable and telecom companies.
Larry holds a BSc in Applied Science from Simon Fraser University and been a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers for 15 yrs.

Karen Adams – Senior Technical Project Manager
Karen has 18 years of experience and strategic involvement in the role of technology in business in the fields of networking and data communication developing solutions and managing projects. Karen has worked in Project Management, System Engineering and Customer Support Management roles with IP Applications, Alcatel Canada, MetroNet Communications and Ascom Canada. Karen has worked on customer projects with Utilities, Service Providers, Municipalities and Transit. Karen has her Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

Frank Suto – Director, Corporate Development
Frank Suto, MBA, B.Sc., joined the team in 2003 as Novax’s Director of Corporate Development. He brings many years of marketing, sales and business development experience in high visibility service organizations such as Canadian Pacific Airlines, Canadian Airlines, RCI and Coast Hotels. As Director of Corporate Development Frank’s focuses on identifying market-based opportunities for new and existing Novax technology.
